Idaho to host Vandal Jamboree

In its final regular season meet of the year, Idaho will host the Vandal Jamboree on Friday and Saturday at the Dan O'Brien Track and Field Complex.

It will be the last chance for fans to see a handful of highly successful Vandal athletes in Moscow, and a good chance to see some of the WAC's, West Region's and NCAA's best in action.

Junior hurdler Heather Bergland is still chasing her first NCAA Regional qualifying mark of the season after missing by one one-hundredth of a second two weeks ago at the Cougar Invite. Senior Kate Buehler has been just short of the Regional standard in the women's javelin this year and will look to qualify for the third time in her career and sophomore Beau Whitney will look to hit the 169-7 mark in the discus to qualify for his first NCAA Regional meet.

Athletes from regional schools such as Eastern Washington, Washington State, Community Colleges of Spokane, Lewis-Clark State and Central Washington are expected to attend.

The meet starts on Friday at 11 a.m. with the men's hammer throw and starts at 11 a.m. on Saturday with the women's long jump. Track events start at 1 p.m. on Saturday. Admission to the meet is free.

**Please note the time change for the women's pole vault. Start time is now 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. The men's pole vault will immediately follow.
