DENVER – The Idaho women's tennis season came to an end Friday when top-seeded Denver beat the fifth-seeded Vandals 4-0 in the Western Athletic Conference semifinals in Denver.
Idaho finished the season with a 13-12 record.
Denver won the doubles point with an 8-6 victory over Victoria Lozano and Almudena Sanz at No. 1 and an 8-4 win over Rita Bermudez and Beaty Flores at No. 3.
In singles play, the Pioneers got a 6-1, 6-4 win over Sanz at No. 2, a 6-1, 6-0 win over Constance Alexander at No. 3 and a 6-4, 6-3 win over Sophie Vickers at No. 6 to clinch the match.
