MISSOULA, Mont. – After two home contests, the Idaho heads back on the road to take on Montana in a pivotal Big Sky matchup.

MATCHUP – Idaho (11-7, 3-2 BSC) is 107-87 all-time against Montana (11-6, 6- BSC), with the rivalry dating back to the 1915-16 season. Last season, the teams split their two meetings with the home team winning each game.
LAST TIME OUT – The Vandals fell to Southern Utah, 85-83. Victor Sanders had another incredible game, going for 29 points. He was called on late, with the Vandals trailing by three with less than 30 seconds to play. After getting fouled on a 3-point attempt, for the second time in the game, Sanders drained all three free throws to force overtime.
Idaho got out to an early 76-70 lead in overtime, but went stagnant for a stretch, allowing Southern Utah to claim a lead of its own. The Vandals had a shot to tie it in the closing seconds, but came up short.

SHARE THE ROCK – Idaho is 7-3 this season in games that point guard Chris Sarbaugh records more assists than turnovers. As a team, the Vandals have only recorded more assists than turnovers three times, all in wins.
BIG SKY PLAY – Idaho is 3-2 so far in the Big Sky, with its first three games taking place on the road. Only one other Big Sky team opened play with three straight on the road, with Sacramento State going 0-3. Idaho went 2-1 during the road stretch.
FREE POINTS – Sanders has been fouled shooting a 3-pointer 12 times so far this season, including three times against NAU. He has made the most of his opportunities, hitting all three free throws seven times. He also converted two four-point plays.
