Seattle, Wash. -- The Vandal track and field were back in full swing Friday as they took part in the Husky Classic at the University of Washington. Idaho saw the likes of Kinsey Gomez get back into the mix as she and other Vandals took place in the precursor to the main event on Saturday.
Gomez took to her first indoor meet of the season as she competed in the 5000m, placing fifth in her heat at a time of 16:27.61. On the opposite end of the spectrum, Idaho's Kaleala Bass competed in the women's pentathlon and Cecilia Watkins compete in the women's pole vault.
The men had two throwers compete in the weight throw, while the decathlon also began on the first day for the men.
