OGDEN, Utah – Senior pole vaulter Matt Sullivan has been recognized by the Big Sky Conference as the Male Field Athlete of the Week, as announced Tuesday.

Sullivan placed fifth overall at the 2016 Husky Classic, hosted by the University of Washington.  He had the third best jump among collegiate athletes, posting an indoor career-best leap of 5.23 meters.

Sullivan is currently ranked first in the Big Sky Conference in the pole vault and is the only member of the league to go above 5.08 meters this year.

He has competed in four meets this season, winning both the Cougar Indoor and Vandal Indoor meets.  Sullivan also placed sixth at the UW Invitational.
