OGDEN, Utah – Just a day after winning its second consecutive Big Sky Championship, the Idaho men's golf team picked up more hardware. In all, the Vandals placed five on All-Big Sky Conference teams, including two on the first team and one on the second.
Daniel Sutton and Rylee Iacolucci both earned first team honors. Sutton finished second at the Big Sky Championships last weekend at 207 (-9), including a third-round 67 (-5). Iacolucci finished in a tie for seventh with Big Sky Golfer of the Year Aaron Beverly of Sacramento State.
Ian Kim took home second team honors. Kim finished tied for 25th at the Big Sky Championships, posting a weekend-best round of 68 on Sunday.
Ryan Porch and Jake Scarrow garnered honorable mention accolades. Porch finished in a tie for second with Sutton at the Big Sky Championships after shooting a tournament-low 65 (-7) on Sunday. Scarrow tied for 27th.
The Vandals won the team championship in come-from-behind fashion. Idaho trailed heading into Sunday but used a final round minus-17 to earn the win.
Idaho will find out where it plays its NCAA Regional on Thursday, May 5. The selection show will be aired on the Golf Channel at 6:30 a.m. PT.
