MOSCOW, Idaho - Continuing to improve their lineup, the Idaho women's tennis team signed Romanian Alexandra Ulesanu. Ulesanu, a native of Constanta, Romania, signed a letter of intent to attend the University of Idaho in the fall and play tennis for the Vandals.

"We are looking for good things from Alexandra," Idaho coach Jeff Beaman said. "She should make an immediate impact in our lineup this fall."

Ulesanu will be transfering to Idaho from University Ovidius Constana in Romania and brings with her an impressive resume. As a junior Ulesanu captured four national titles on the Romanian junior tennis circuit and won the Literal Cup and Ararat Cup in 2005.

"Romania is one of the countries with exceptional women's tennis right now," Beaman said. "Alexandra has played at a high level against high level competition."
