The University of Idaho Department of Athletics was recognized for its commitment to gender equity in the inaugural Glass Ceiling Report Card developed by a Penn State University political science instructor.
Idaho was awarded an A grade by Charles L. Kennedy in his report that reviewed gender equity among coaching staffs at the nation's Division I-A athletic programs.
“We have put forth an effort to make sure we have a diverse staff,” director of athletics Rob Spear said. “It is nice to be recognized for this commitment.”
Idaho is one of 15 schools to receive an A grade and is sixth overall. The complete report can be viewed at www2.yk.psu.edu/~clk8/articles.
