UNIVERSITY OF IDAHO SPIRIT SQUAD!
The Idaho Spirit Squad features high energy crowd cheering, partner and all girl stunts, pyramids, tumbling and dance performances. The Vandals are looking for talented, energetic and articulate young men and women who are enthusiastic about cheering for some of the most dynamic athletic teams in the Big Sky and Sun Belt conferences!
The Vandal Spirit Squad is an important aspect of game production and public relations for the University of Idaho. The cheerleaders serve as ambassadors for the University in a variety of ways including: cheering at all home games, participating in University events and community appearances.

Women:

- Co-ed: Toss Extension, Press Liberty
- All-girl: Extensions, Liberty, Heel Stretch, Full-ups, Full-downs
Men:
- Standing Tumbling Highly Recommended

DANCE REQUIREMENTS:

- Across the Floor Combinations
- Double Pirouettes, Triple Pirouettes
- Fouettes
- Chaine Turns
- Jete Leap
- Pique turn
- Pirouette a la second
- Calypso
- High Kick Forward (both legs), Tilt Kick (both legs)
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Basic cheer motions: dancers will perform chants and dances alongside cheerleaders during the season. There should be a general knowledge of sideline cheering.
JOE VANDAL:
Joe Vandal supports the Vandal Spirit Squad and Vandal athletics. Joe appears at the majority of Vandal Athletic contests, along with local community events.
