On Tap This Week:
Idaho lost both games last week in gut-wrenching fashion and will look to get things back on track Wednesday with a home game against Nevada. The Wolf Pack is second in the WAC right now with a 6-1 record and has won four straight road games. Nevada comes into the game after erasing a 21-point halftime deficit in a 64-60 win at New Mexico State. Wednesday's game will tip off at 7 p.m. at the Cowan Spectrum.
A Look at Nevada:
The Wolf Pack comes into the game at 6-1 in the Western Athletic Conference and 12-9 overall on the season. Nevada is coached by Jane Albright, who is in her second season at the helm. The Wolf Pack went 2-0 last week with wins over Louisiana Tech and New Mexico State.
Nevada shoots 40.3 percent from the field and scores 63.1 points per game. They allow their opponents 61.4 points on 37.2 shooting. The Wolf Pack averages a commanding +6.1 rebounding advantage, as they pull down 41.5 per game and allow just 35.3. They grab 9.1 steals per game, but also turn it over 22.1 times, themselves. Nevada's 3-point defense is the best in the WAC, as opponents are hitting just .267 from beyond the arc.
Junior guard Tahnee Robinson leads the team with a 15.6 scoring average. She shoots .484 from the field and .443 from 3-point range. Junior forward Shavon Moore is second on the team in both points (11.1) and rebounds (6.8), while sophomore forward Kayla Williams leads the Pack with 7.1 boards per game.
Nevada leads the all-time series by a 16-11 margin, including both games last year. The Wolf Pack has won seven straight against the Vandals. Idaho's last win in the series came at home on Jan. 12, 2006 by a 69-56 margin. Nevada won last year's game at the Cowan Spectrum, 57-39.
