EUGENE, Ore. - The University of Idaho men's tennis team returned from Oregon with a pair of victories and whole lot of confidence going into the rest of the season.
The Vandals dispatched Portland State University Saturday afternoon 7-0 and handled Seattle University 6-1 on Sunday.
The only lost of the weekend came against Oregon in a back forth match up that could have gone either way. Despite the team's efforts, they could not overcome a strong Ducks squad losing 5-2.
Stas Glukhov led the charge for Idaho all weekend going 3-0 in singles play and 2-1 in doubles action. The senior chalked up singles victories over Nico Bjerke of Oregon,
Alex VanDerschelden of Portland State and Adam Strizich of Seattle.
In doubles play, the Russian teamed up with Artem Kuznetsov to beat the teams of Erickson/VanDerschelden of Portland State and Boorkman/Strizichof Seattle
Idaho travels to Las Vegas next weekend for matches against UNLV and Santa Clara.
