2012 Outdoor: Ayesu-Attah had a standout freshman season for Idaho in 2012 … was an NCAA qualifier in the 400m and finished 31st at the NCAA West Preliminary in the event with a time of 47.61 … won his first career individual conference title at the WAC Outdoor Championships with a time of 46.86, which was a career-best time by more than one full second and ranks ninth all-time at Idaho … also earned Second-Team All-WAC honors as a member of Idaho’s third-place 4x100m relay that posted a 42.58 and anchored Idaho’s fourth-place 4x400m relay (3:19.30) … won the 200m (22.24) and 400m (48.59) at the Sam Adams Classic on March 31 in his outdoor debut for Idaho … finished 21st in the 400m at the Mt. SAC Relays in 47.89 for his first career sub-48 race.

2012 Indoor: Ayesu-Attah broke out for the Vandals as a freshman and provided the enduring image of Idaho’s first indoor WAC team title as the anchor leg of the team’s title-clinching 4x400m relay … won gold and earned First-Team All-WAC honors as the fourth leg of Idaho’s 4x400m relay that won the WAC title in a time of 3:14.62 … earned All-WAC Second Team honors with a fourth-place finish in the 400m dash in a career-best time of 48.12 … set the WSU Open meet record with a 49.15 in his first career competition as a Vandal on Jan. 14 … ran a career-best 22.53 in a fourth-place finish in the 200m at the Idaho Indoor Open on Feb. 4 … took second in the 400m at the Vandal Collegiate on Feb. 18 with a time of 48.75.

High School: Ayesu-Attah is a highly-decorated sprinter from Heritage Woods Secondary … won the 2009 British Columbia high school title in the 400m … posted a Fraser Valley record of 48.03 in the 400m in 2011, and added bests of 11.15 in the 100m and 22.13 in the 200m … finished 2011 ranked fourth among Canadian juniors in the 400m (48.03) and 10th in the 200m (22.13) … represented Canada at the 2009 World Youth Championships and posted semifinal finish in the 400m with a time of 48.72 after running a 48.55 in the quarterfinal round … also ran the anchor leg of Canada’s fifth-place medley relay at the World Youth Championships … competed for the Coquitlam Cheetahs club team for eight years and was named 2009 Athlete of the Year … has career-best marks of 11.10 in the 100m, 22.1 in the 200m and 48.03 in the 400m … also competed in basketball at Heritage Woods.

Personal: He is the son of Kwame and Comfort Ayesu-Attah … has two sisters, Nana and Esinam … Majoring in Business at Idaho.
