Vandals and  Rainbow Warriors
Idaho and Hawai`i meet for the 19th time on Thursday. Idaho holds a 12-6 series lead and is 5-3 all-time on the island. Idaho won the first five meetings between Dec. 8, 1953 and Feb. 24, 1967 and holds a 7-6 series edge since the two became Western Athletic Conference foes in the 2005-06 season. Idaho took a 59-44 win on Jan. 6, 2011, the last time the Vandals visited the Stan Sheriff Center.

Record Watch
With 41 swats this year, senior forward Djim Bandoumel needs just one more blocked shot to break into Idaho’s single-season top-10 list. At 128 assists, senior guard Landon Tatum can crack the Idaho top-10 list in single-season assists with just two more this season. He’s also nine assists away from breaking into Idaho’s career top 10.

Consecutive Freebies
Deremy Geiger’s team season-high streak of made free throws came to an end on Feb. 24 at Utah State. Geiger entered the game with 20 consecutive makes and sank his first three in the game to extend the streak to 23 before a miss at the 10:57 mark of the second half. Geiger’s streak spanned 11 games over a span of more than one month. Idaho’s school record is 26 straight made FTs, first by Gary Simmons in 1956 and matched by Jeff Ledbetter last season. Coincedentally, Ledbetter’s streak also ended against Utah State.
