A Look at the Aggies
Utah State is 18-15 overall after its 75-69 opening-round win over CSU Bakersfield on Wednesday. The Aggies have won four of their last six games and are 14-4 at home this season. As a team, USU shoots 47.3 percent from the floor and averages 67.5 points, while holding opponents to 41.8 shooting and 64.4 points per game. Sophomore guard Preston Medlin, a First-Team All-WAC pick, leads the team with 16.5 points on 49.6 percent shooting per game, while senior guard Brockeith Pane adds 12.5 points and 3.9 assists per game. Senior Morgan Grim is the team’s leading rebounder at 5.9 boards per game.

Utah State Head Coach Stew Morrill
In his 14th year at Utah State and his 26th year overall as a collegiate head coach, Stew Morrill holds a 560-256 record and a 342-118 tally with the Aggies. He is the three-time WAC Coach of the Year and has led Utah State to 13-consecutive postseason berths, including eight NCAA Tournaments. He led the Aggies to four-consecutive WAC regular-season titles from 2008-11 before this year’s fourth-place finish. He is a 1974 graduate of Gonzaga. Postseason Tournament (CIT)
In its fourth year, the Postseason Tournament has expanded to 32 teams. The tournament is focused on teams from outside the six power conferences in basketball. The 2009 tournament featured the longest game-winning shot in NCAA Division I postseason history, while the 2010 tournament saw a 27-point comeback - the biggest in postseason history, and the 11 wins by road teams in the 2011 version are the most for any postseason tourney in Division I history. Old Dominion won the inaugural tournament in 2009, while Missouri State won in 2010 and Santa Clara won last season in 2011.

The Rubber Match
With the season series at a 1-1 split, Idaho has a chance to claim two wins against Utah State for the first time since 1957, when the Vandals posted wins on back-to-back nights against the Aggies in games played at Twin Falls and Idaho Falls, Idaho, respectively. To do so, the Vandals will need to win a game at the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum for the first time since Mar. 1, 2003.

Chasing 20 Wins
After its 86-83 win over UC Santa Barbara on Mar. 14 in the opening round of the Postseason Tournament, Idaho put itself into a position it hasn’t been in nearly 20 years. At 19-13, the Vandals will try to earn 20 wins in a season for the first time since 1992-93, when head coach Larry Eustachy led the team to a 24-8 record. A victory would also give the Vandals something they’ve never gotten - a second-consecutive postseason victory. Idaho is 3-8 all-time in postseason play and has never won back-to-back postseason games.

Double-Digit Dishes
Idaho is 16-0 all-time when a player dishes out 10 or more assists. Senior guard Landon Tatum has done so three times this season, which matches Mac Hopson (2008-10) for the most all-time. Otis Livington (1989-90) and Ricky Wilson (1992-93) are the only other two with multiple 10+ assist games to their credit.
