The Zags surrendered just four shot attempts against USD on Friday and only two on target, but were outshot 14-10 overall at WSU and allowed 10 on-target attempts to the Cougars. The team returned eight starters and 13 letter winners from its 2011 group that went 7-10-2 overall and finished ninth in the West Coast Conference. GU hosts Boise State on Sunday after facing Idaho. North Dakota State (0-2-0) The Bison opened their season last weekend with a 4-1 loss at Boise State and a 3-2 overtime loss to Idaho State under first-year head coach Mark Cook. NDSU has been outshot by a 43-11 margin so far this year, but has three goals from its six on-target attempts so far. NDSU is a young team with a new coaching staff and 10 freshmen on its roster. In all, the team returns four starters and 10 letter winners from last year’s group that went 15-4-2 and took second in the Summit League.
