This Week on the Pitch:
Sunday, Oct. 21 (11:00 a.m. PT)
at Louisiana Tech

Ruston, La.

This Week's Opponent:
Louisiana Tech (12-1-3, 3-0-1)
Louisiana Tech comes into the week on a 10-match unbeaten streak, with an 8-0-2 record and just three goals allowed during that span. The Lady Techsters have plenty of momentum after earning a WAC road sweep last week at Texas State (2-0) and UTSA (1-0) last week for the first time in program history. LA Tech has outscored its opponents this season by a 35-5 margin and attempts eight more shots per game than its opponents. The team is also undefeated (6-0-1) at home this season. Goalkeepers Corina Brown and Caitlin Updyke have split duties almost evenly this year. Updyke has eight starts and 837 minutes with a 0.43 goals-against average, while Brown has posted a 0.13 GAA in seven starts and 674 minutes. The Lady Techsters host Seattle U on Friday before playing Idaho on Sunday.

Team Notes:
Vandals vs. Lady Techsters
Idaho is undefeated against Louisiana Tech since the two teams started playing in 2005. The Vandals are 4-0-3 vs. the Lady Techsters, but none of the seven matches have been easy. The teams played four-consecutive double-overtime matches from 2006-09 and neither team has scored more than two goals in series history. Idaho is on a three-match winning streak against LA Tech and hasn’t allowed a goal in the series since 2006.

Fixtures in the Lineup
Idaho seniors Chelsea Small (F), Megan Lopez (MF) and Jill Flockhart (MF), have started every game of their Idaho careers, 79 in a row and counting. They officially broke Idaho’s career starts record on Sept. 30 at UTSA, then broke the career games played record one week later at Seattle U on Oct. 7.

Reeling in WAC Records
Chelsea Small moved into second in WAC history in career shots (389) at Texas State and UTSA on Sept. 28-30. Her goal against Utah State on Oct. 14 was No. 37 in her career, which puts her in a tie for eighth in WAC history in career goals. She needs six more points to crack the WAC’s all-time career top-10 in that categories. Liz Boyden ranks sixth all-time in the WAC with 350 career saves. She can crack the top five with 14 more saves.
