Idaho finished with a 13-5 WAC record and tied UTSA for second place. With all tiebreakers between the Vandals and Roadrunners being exhausted, the seeding selection came down to a draw, which Idaho won to get the No. 2 seed.

The winner of Idaho's match against Texas State will advance to the semifinals on Nov. 20 at 4 p.m. Central/2 p.m. Pacific to face the winner of No. 3 UTSA against No. 6 San Jose State. The WAC championship match is Nov. 21 at 4 p.m. Central/2 p.m. Pacific, and will be nationally televised on ESPNU.

This is the second consecutive season the Vandals have finished in a tie for second in the WAC and earned the No. 2 seed in the WAC tournament. Utah State, which went 15-3 in WAC play this season, is the WAC regular season champion and top seed in the tournament. New Mexico State (12-6) is the fourth seed, Denver (10-8) is fifth, San Jose State (9-9) is the sixth and UT Arlington (5-13) is the eighth.
