GOODYEAR, Ariz. - The University of Idaho men's golf team slipped into ninth but is separated by only 10 strokes from second-day leader Brigham Young after 36 holes of the Desert Shootout at Palm Valley Golf Course (par 71, 7015).

Webb added a second-day 71 to his first-round 68 for a 139 and the tie for ninth with Cockerill, who went 69-70 for his 139. Also for the Vandals, Dylan Baker is teid for 40th at 144, Sean McMullen is tied for 70th at 149 and Alex Pounds is tied for 83rd at 151.

Brigham Young is at 559 after 36 holes and is followed by a logjam of teams in the hunt for the title. Illinois is second at 560 with Baylor third at 563, Tulsa and Wichita State at 564, Denver at 565, Colorado State at 566, Nebraska at 567 and the Vandals at 569.
