GOODYEAR, Ariz. - The University of Idaho men's golf team tied for eighth at the Desert Shootout after a closing round 296 and a tournament total 865.

Gordon Webb led the way for Idaho with a tie for sixth after finishing at two-under 211 for the tournament at the Palm Valley Golf Course. Aaron Cockerill tied for 16th with a one-over 214 while Dylan Baker tied fdor 33rd at 217, Sean McMullen tied for 76th at 225 and Alex Pounds was 94th at 232.

Brigham Young won the tournament with an 838, while Denver was second at 848, Baylor third at 850 and Wichita State fourth at 858.

Zachary Blair of BYU was the tournament's medalist with a 15-under 198 after a closing round 64.
