MOSCOW -- Idaho coach Debbie Buchanan seeks her 200th career win this weekend as she enters Northern Arizona’s Fiesta Bowl Tournament with a 199-189 (.512) career record. However, getting her next win will be no easy task, as the Vandals face CSU Northridge, Northern Arizona and San Diego State, who are a combined 8-1 in 2013 and each finished in the top 100 in RPI in 2012.

Idaho gets the tournament started on Sept. 6 at 4 p.m. against CSU Northridge. The Matadors are  receiving votes in this week's AVCA Coaches Poll after a 3-0 start in 2013 with wins over Santa Clara, Rice and Fresno State. The Matadors and Vandals have split 14 previous matches, although Northridge has won the last four, including a 3-1 win in 2012.

The Vandals will take on host Northern Arizona on Sept. 7 at 10 a.m. NAU hasn’t lost a set in 2013, with 3-0 sweeps of Campbell, San Jose State and William & Mary in its season-opening weekend. The last time Idaho and NAU got together the Vandals left with a 3-0 sweep, although that was 10 years ago, and NAU owns an 11-9 advantage in the all-time series.

San Diego State is 2-1 in 2013, and will be Idaho’s final opponent of the tournament. The Aztecs beat UC Davis and UTSA and falling in five sets to LSU. The Vandals and Aztecs square off at 5 p.m. on Sept. 7.

Live stats will be available for all three of Idaho’s matches at the tournament at http://nauathletics.com/sports/wvball/2013-14/Fiesta_Bowl.
