MOSCOW, Idaho -- The Idaho volleyball team will head east this week when they visit Chicago State and Kansas City in a pair of Western Athletic Conference matches as the regular season winds down.
Idaho is 15-10 on the season and 9-5 in WAC play heading into the week. The Vandals are alone in fourth place in the WAC standings, a half-game ahead of Kansas City and Seattle U and one game behind Bakersfield, who also owns the tie-breaker over Idaho, making its lead essentially two games with three to play.
Idaho first takes on the struggling Cougars on Nov. 14 at 5 p.m. (PT). Chicago State enters the week with a 2-27 record on the season and an 0-14 mark in WAC play. the Vandals won 3-0 over CSU in Moscow on Oct. 19 when Idaho hit .309 as a team and served up seven aces (2.3 per set).
The Vandals will finish the weekend at Kansas City at 5 p.m. (PT) on Nov. 16. Idaho swept the Kangaroos in their first meeting, but UMKC is still a threat to Idaho in the WAC standings, with a 14-12 overall and 8-6 WAC record entering the week.

Idaho wraps up the 2013 regular season next week when it visits Grand Canyon on Nov. 21. The Vandals will stay in Phoenix for the WAC tournament, which takes place Nov. 25-27. Idaho has already clinched a spot in the six-team tournament, but is still battling for seeding as four teams are within two games of third place entering the final two weeks of the season.
