LAS CRUCES, N.M. – The Idaho men’s tennis team fell 4-0 at New Mexico State on Sunday, falling to 3-5 on the season.

The Vandals got the win at No. 1 doubles, but NM State took the No. 2 and 3 matches to seal the doubles point. The Aggies then picked up straight set wins at Nos. 1, 5 and 6 singles to clinch the 4-0 victory. The Nos. 2, 3 and 4 singles matches were unfinished.

“I have to give credit to New Mexico State coaches and players on how they responded after a tough loss yesterday,” Idaho coach Jeff Beaman said. “We can grow from adversity and achieve great things with the right attitude.”

Idaho wraps up its road trip at New Mexico on Feb. 18 before a pair of matches in Spokane, Wash., facing Gonzaga on Feb. 20 and Kansas City on Feb. 22.
