Vandals tied for 12th at UC Irvine

IRVINE, Calif. – The University of Idaho women’s golf team finished 12th in its first tournament of the spring after firing a 940 at the UC Irvine Invitational presented by Kia.

Kristin Strankman had the low tournament for Idaho with a 235 (76-81-78) and a tie for 41st. Kaitlyn Oster tied for 44th with a 236 (77-76-83). In a tie for 50th were Amy Hasenoehrl (78-79-80) and Leilanie Kim (82-77-78) with 237s. Cassie McKinley tied for 63rd at a 244 (85-80-79).

Stanford won the tournament with an 864 – 13 strokes better than runner-up Texas A&M. Stanford’s Mariah Stackhouse was the medalist with a 212.
