Vandals Set for Aggies

LAS VEGAS, Nev. - The Idaho women's basketball team heads to its third consecutive Western Athletic Conference semifinal on Friday when it faces fifth-seeded New Mexico State at noon in the Orleans Arena.

Idaho (23-8), the No. 1 seed in the tournament, is coming off an 84-43 victory over Chicago State in the quarterfinals.

New Mexico State (11-19) was swept in the regular season series against Idaho. The Vandals defated NMSU by scores of 79-51 and 75-66 (at NMSU). The Aggies beat Texas-Pan America 86-74 in the quarterfinal to reach the semis.

The other WAC semifinal features No. 2 Kansas City against No. 3 Seattle U at 2:30 on Friday. The WAC championship game is Saturday at 1 p.m. and will be broadcast live on ESPNU.
