After an epic road swing that began in Arizona and ended in Oregon, the Idaho Vandals struggled through their final round of the Oregon Duck Invitational to a tie for 14th after a closing round 314.

"This was one of the most difficult and frustrating days of my coaching career with the Vandals" said coach John Means after Idaho's struggles followed a third-place finish at the Desert Invitational over the weekend prior to the Duck Invite.

"We came out flat, struggled at the beginning before the conditions worsened, and played uninspired golf.  This has been a long trip and I believe that, although the team was doing what they were supposed to do, they were too tired to function as they have been trained to do.

"In retrospect I should not have scheduled two tournaments back to back without some rest in between."

Aaron Cockerill led the Vandals with a 225 - good enough for a tie for 30th. Jared du Toit, who was third just a couple of days ago at the Desert Invitational, tied for 51st along with Rylee Iacolucci and Ryan Porch (with 229s). Sean McMullen tied for 63rd with a 232.
