Looking Forward
The Vandals face an eventful week of action as most of the team travels to California for multiple meets and another squad travels to Spokane, Wash., for the Whitworth Twilight Invitational at Whitworth University.  Many of the team’s athletes will compete in multi-events over a three-day period at Mt. SAC Relays, the CSULA Twilight Open, and the Bryan Clay Invitational.

An Idaho school record and all-time WAC record fell last year at the Mt.Sac Relays. Senior Hannah Kiser smashed the Idaho school record and all-time WAC record in the 5000m with a time of 15:44.06. Her time broke the school record by a margin of 26-seconds. Sophomore Halie Raudenbush made her way into the Idaho all-time top-10 record books with a season-best time of 11:04.99 in the 3k steeplechase. Sophomore Santos Vargas improved his season best time in the 3k steeplechase, along with teammate Nathan Stark. Senior Kyle Rothwell improved from 10th all-time mark to fifth all-time in the men’s hammer throw with a career-best heave of 204-10 (62.43m). At the Whitworth Twilight, senior Molly Meyers took the top spot in the shot put.
