John Wallace was hired as the associate athletics director for compliance and eligibility at the University of Idaho November 2005.

Wallace’s responsibilities in the compliance realm include educating the athletics department and university staff, boosters, coaches and student-athletes about NCAA and Western Athletic Conference regulations. In addition, he is responsible for overseeing the compliance monitoring systems related to recruiting, certification and eligibility.

In his current duties with UI, Wallace oversees the academic services department and serves as the sport administrator for women’s swimming and diving, women’s tennis and men’s tennis teams.

Prior to his employment at the University of Idaho, Wallace worked in the compliance offices at Northern Illinois University and West Virginia University and in the sports information office at Otterbein College.

Wallace earned a B.A. in International Politics at Penn State University, and received a juris doctorate from Ohio Northern University Pettit College of Law.

A native of Uniontown, PA, Wallace and his wife Kris have four children: John, Max, Jane and Anne.
