Honors: 2010 Second-Team All-WAC, 2011 Team Captain, 2011 Honorable Mention NSCAA Scholar All-West Region, three-time WAC All-Academic

2011: Layton played all 22 games and started 20 at outside back for Idaho as a junior … finished third on the team with three assists as the team’s designated corner kicker … her assist on a corner kick in the 3-2 win over Montana on Sept. 4 was the 200th assist in Idaho program history … extended her career total assists to 14 assists, which is the most among active Vandals and second-most in school history … attempted 11 shots during the season, 10 of which were on goal … voted team captain before the season by her teammates … helped lead a Vandal defense to two shutouts and 11 single-goal games despite the loss of two goalkeepers to season-ending injuries during the year … voted Most Inspirational Player by her teammates at the end of the season … Honorable Mention NSCAA Scholar All-West Region and Fall WAC All-Academic honoree.

2010: Layton was a second-team all-WAC selection at outside back in 2010. She started 20 of the team's 21 games and tallied seven assists - the third-most in Idaho single-season history. She ranked fourth in the WAC and 61st in the NCAA in that category. Additionally, her 11 assists in just two years at Idaho put her at second all-time on the Vandal career list. She attempted four total shots, three of which were on target. Layton had one assist each in Idaho's five consecutive wins over Portland State, Hawai'i, Louisiana Tech, New Mexico State and Nevada between Sep. 28 and Oct. 15. On the defensive end, she led a back line that limited opponents to just 20 goals, 15 assists and 55 total points during the regular season.

2009: Layton started all 19 games as a freshman in 2009. She tied for the team lead with four assists, and attempted six shots on the year. She assisted the game-winner in Idaho's 3-0 win over Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Sep. 13, then sent in a cross that set up the game-winner against Boise State on Oct. 18. While her play as an outside back was crucial to the Vandal defense holding opponents to the second-fewest shots (251) and third-fewest goals (24) in school history, she was also a key offensive component, as she attempted most of Idaho's 86 corner kicks on the year.

High School/Club: Layton was a two-sport athlete for the Mead High School Panthers, which she led to three-straight Greater Spokane League titles and three-straight District 6 titles from 2006-08. She is a two-time first-team all-GSL honoree, as well as the GSL’s 2008 Defensive MVP and a 2008 Washington first-team all-state selection after leading Mead to a third-place finish at the state tournament. She played for the Spokane Shadow club team for eight years, including the last five as team captain. She helped the team earn the 2007 U.S. Club Soccer national title and twice led the team to state semi-final appearances. She was also a member of the Super Y League Northwest Divisional Select ODP team from 2005-07 and was a Super Y ODP National Camp invitee.

Personal: She is the daughter of Tony and Kari Layton. She has one brother, A.J. Her father was an football player at Whitworth. She is a National Honor Society member, a four-year Honor Roll student, a 2007 WIAA Academic State Champion and KXLY Shining Star Award recipient. Her major at Idaho is International Studies.
