Honors: 2011 WAC All-Tournament Team, 2011 Golden Shinnie Award, three-time WAC All-Academic

2011: Leathem played in 18 games and started 15 in the middle of Idaho’s back line as a junior … selected to the WAC All-Tournament Team after helping lead Idaho to its first conference tournament victory … moved forward for two shots during the season … took control of one of the starting center back spots midway through the season and started the team’s final 13 games at the position … helped steady a Vandal defense that lost two goalkeepers to season-ending injuries, but still posted two shutouts and held 11 opponents to a single goal or less … was voted Players’ Player of the Game twice during the season by her teammates … earned the Golden Shinnie Award as the team’s top defensive player … Fall WAC All-Academic honoree.

2010: Leathem played in six games and started the final four of the season on the Vandal back line. She attempted one shot from her center back position and helped Idaho hold opponents to all-time regular-season lows of 20 total goals, 15 assists and 55 points during the 2010 season.

2009: Leathem started 18 games and played in 19 for Idaho as a true freshman in the middle of the Vandal back line. She moved forward to attempt three shots with two on goal, but her main accomplishment was helping the Idaho defense limit opponents to the second-lowest shot total (251) and third-lowest goal total (24) in Idaho history. She helped the Vandals hold 13 of 19 opponents to one or zero goals, including a team-record 11-game stretch without allowing a multi-goal game.

High School/Club: Leathem was team captain for Sullivan Heights Secondary’s soccer team and in 2008 was honored as the team’s Most Reliable Player. She was a two-time British Columbia provincial team member and helped lead the team to two Canadian national tournaments. She was a member of the SBAA Nitro Elite club team for seven seasons, during which she helped lead the team to four league titles, two Coastal Cup titles, two B.C. provincial titles and a pair of national tournament appearances.

Personal: She is the daughter of Doug Leathem. She has one sister, Katie. She was an Honor Roll student every year of high school. Her major at Idaho is Anthropology.
