Spear re-appointed to NCAA Legislative Council

MOSCOW, Idaho - University of Idaho Director of Athletics Rob Spear has been re-appointed to the NCAA Division I Legislative Council, one of the top governing bodies in college athletics, through April 2014. He has served on the council since May 2008.

"I am excited to continue representing the Western Athletic Conference on one of the top two NCAA committees," Spear said. "It is a tremendous opportunity to be involved in decisions that influence the future operations of intercollegiate athletics at the Division I level."

The Legislative Council reports to the Division I Board of Directors. All NCAA cabinets as well as the Minority Opportunities and Interests Committee, Sportsmanship and Ethical Conduct Committee, Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, Committee on Women's Athletics, Legislative Review/Interpretations Committee, Subcommittee for Legislative Relief, Committee on Athletics Certification, and the Student-Athlete Reinstatement Committee report to the Legislative Council.
