|Jerry Kramer bobblehead|
A likeness of University of Idaho and Green Bay Packers legend Jerry Kramer is the next in a series of commemorative bobbleheads sponsored by the Vandal Athletic Department.
"We are excited to honor Jerry and bring additional recognition to the recent quest to get him elected into the Pro Football Hall of Fame," University of Idaho Director of Athletics Rob Spear said.
Kramer is a member of the Vandal Athletics Hall of Fame as well as the 50th Anniversary NFL Team and the 50th Anniversary Senior Bowl All-Time Team. Kramer played for the Vandals from 1954-57, when he was drafted by the Packers in the fourth round as the 39th overall pick.
He played offensively and defensively for the Vandals and, during his junior and senior seasons, averaged 58 minutes playing time per game. That durability combined with size, speed, strength and football savvy helped him earn All-American status as well as caught the eye of the Packers organization. He played in three senior all-star games - the East-West Shrine, North-South and Senior bowls.
Kramer played on five Packers championship teams and not only was he their standout offensive guard but their kicker as well.
The limited edition bobbleheads (1,000 will be made) are available only to Vandal season ticket holders. Each season ticket account will receive one Kramer bobblehead. To secure yours today, contact the Vandal ticket office at 208-885-6466 or on the ticket link at www.GoVandals.com.
