|VB takes on two top 10s|
The Idaho volleyball team will be put to the test against a pair of top-10 teams, and another team receiving votes in the Top 25 when it travels to Honolulu, Hawai'i to play in the Verizon Volleyball Challenge, Sept. 7-9.
Idaho starts off the tournament against No. 3 UCLA on Sept. 7 at 8 p.m (Pacific). UCLA leads the all-time series against Idaho 2-0, and enters the match with a 3-1 overall mark in 2012.
The Vandals will then face No. 9 Hawai'i on Sept. 8 at 10 p.m. The Rainbow Wahine are 5-1 in 2012 after hosting tournaments the first two weekends of the regular season. The former Western Athletic Conference foe owns an 18-0 all-time record against Idaho.
The tournament concludes for Idaho with a match against San Diego State on Sept. 9 at 6 p.m. The Vandals and Aztecs have split two previous meetings. SDSU enters the tournament with a 5-0 record this season.
Idaho enters the tournament with a 2-5 overall record after dropping four straight matches on its California road-swing last week. The four-match skid is Idaho's longest since losing its fourth straight match on Sept. 2, 2011. Idaho has not left five consecutive matches since September of 2009.
The Vandals will return to Moscow to open WAC play on Sept. 13 against Denver, before hosting San Jose State on Sept. 15.
