RUSTON, La. - The Idaho volleyball team won its sixth consecutive match Friday night with a 3-0 win over Louisiana Tech.

The Vandals improved to 9-10 overall and 7-2 in the Western Athletic Conference with the 25-23, 25-16, 25-23 win, while LA Tech falls to 3-18 and 0-9 in the WAC.

Idaho's balanced offensive attack featured 11 kills from Allison (Walker) Baker, seven each from Alyssa Schultz and Ashley Christman, and six from Alex Sele. Baker also added nine digs, while Schultz finished with five blocks. Both Christman and Schultz had just one error on 19 kills, and hit .316.

Jenny Feicht had 16 assists and 13 digs in the match, Ryann Carter had 14 assists and Janelle Chow had a team-high 14 digs and four aces. Jenna Ellis, who entered the match leading the WAC in aces, had two on Friday, and added a pair of digs.

Idaho's six-match win streak matches its longest since the 2003 season. The last time an Idaho team won seven matches in a row was 1999. Four of Idaho's six wins during its streak have come on the road, and all have been in WAC play. The 3-0 win is Idaho's third sweep of 2012, all coming in WAC action.

The Vandals return to Moscow next week to host Utah State on Oct. 18 and San Jose State on Oct. 20. Both matches start at 7 p.m. in Memorial Gym.
