The Idaho women's basketball team will play its first home game since Jan. 19 when it hosts New Mexico State on Feb. 7 at 6 p.m. in the Cowan Spectrum.

The Vandals are 10-12 overall and 7-4 in the Western Athletic Conference after going 3-1 on the road during the past two weeks. The Vandals have won seven of their last nine games overall. New Mexico State enters the game with a 9-12 overall record and a 3-8 mark in WAC play and has dropped its last seven games.

New Mexico State is led by Stefanie Gilbreath, who averages 16.2 points and 6.4 rebounds per game. Scoring point guard Danesia Williamson adds 11.2 points and 2.9 assists per game. The Aggies and their opponents both average less than 60.0 points per game, as NMSU is averaging 57.1 and giving up 59.9. On the contrary, Idaho averages 65.5 and gives up 67.8.

Idaho senior Jessica Graham has put together a nice four-game stretch. In Idaho's last four games, she is averaging 11.5 points and 6.0 rebounds, and shooting 54.8 percent from the field and 62.5 percent from 3-point range, coming off the bench in all four games. Both shooting percentages are the best on the team in that span, while her scoring average is second and her rebounding average is third.

While the stats show that New Mexico State prefers the game to be scored in the 50's, Idaho beat the Aggies at their own game, winning 57-51 in Las Cruces on Jan. 12. The Vandals held New Mexico State to just 23.0 percent shooting from the field to overcome a 4-of-17 3-point shooting performance and NMSU's 47-41 rebounding advantage in the victory. Idaho junior Alyssa Charlston scored 19 points and added 11 rebounds, while Jessica Graham added 10 points, and Christina Salvatore and Stacey Barr each added nine. NMSU's Stefanie Gilbreath led all scorers with 21 points in that game.

Thursday's game is Military Appreciation Day, with $5 admission for all veterans and military members and their families.

Fans who can't make it to the Cowan Spectrum for the game can catch the action on KMAX 840 AM or on VandalXtra. Free live stats will also be available at www.GoVandals.com.
