ST. GEORGE, Utah - The University of Idaho men's golf team is seventh after the first round of the annual Pat Hicks Thunderbird Invitational at Sunbrook Golf Course.

Sean McMcMullen is tied for 10th with the low round of the day for the Vandals. His 72 is three strokes better than teammate Aaron Cockerill as Idaho opened with a 301 over the par-72, 6,869-yard course. Cockerill's 75 puts him in a tie for 26th with Gordon Webb tied for 36th at 76, Dylan Baker tied for 60th at 78, and Zach Wanderscheid tied for 79th at 81.

The College of Charleston is the first-round leader with a two-under 286 followed by Seattle University at 292 and Cal Poly at 294.

Four players are tied for the individual lead with two-under 70s.
