University of Idaho sophomore Sean McMullen climbed into a tie for sixth during the final round of the Pat Hicks Thunderbird Invitational.

McMullen, who had a 72 during the opening round, had a 73 Tuesday to finish at 145 - three strokes off the winning pace of 142.

The Vandals trimmed four strokes off their opening-round and finished eighth with a collective 598 for the 36-hole event.

Also for Idaho, Aaron Cockerill tied for 17th (148), Gordon Webb tied for 46th (153) and Dylan Baker and Zach Wanderscheid tied for 59th (155).
