PALM DESERT, Calif. - The final two rounds of the Wyoming Desert Classic were a battle for the University of Idaho men's golf team as the Vandals finished 12th behind Aaron Cockerill's tie for 29th.
Idaho had a 295 during the first day but inconsistencies struck the second and third rounds as the Vandals went 308-306 to finish at 909 over the Classic Club/Troon Golf course. TCU ran away with the tournament with an 845 to win by 25 over St. Mary's.
Also for Idaho, Gordon Webb tied for 47th with a 227, Dylan Baker tied for 52nd with a 228, Zach Wanderscheid tied for 63rd with a 232 and Sean McMullen was 83rd with a 237. Medalist honors went to TCU's Julien Brun with a 206.
