|Soccer begins spring drills|
The University of Idaho women’s soccer team starts its spring practices this week and has four games over the next two weeks.
“I’m excited for what the spring brings,” Coach Peter Showler said. “The girls work so hard and grind everything out and it’s just great for them to play.”
The Vandals have 12 players on the roster this spring.
“In a small group we can get so much technical and tactical information through practices,” Showler said. “We can try some new things and it’s great for the girls to embrace those and help us prepare for the fall.”
The team’s first game is Saturday at 2 p.m. against North Idaho College. The Vandals also have games on April 6 at 2 p.m. against Central Washington and April 7 against Walla Walla Community College at 1 p.m. as well as the annual Alumni Game at 9:30 a.m. on April 7. All games will be played on the SprintTurf outside of the Kibbie Dome.
