|Ready to go|
MOSCOW, Idaho – The University of Idaho Vandals head into their first scrimmage of fall camp and coach Paul Petrino knows exactly what he wants to see from his football team in Saturday’s session.
“We’re just looking for guys to come out and play hard; be aggressive,” Petrino said after Friday’s first fully-padded practice. “We want to see who is being tough, being physical and giving great effort. I want to see effort grades that are really high.”
Petrino said one other thing was certain.
“We’ll run a lot of plays,” he promised. “We’re game planning it just like we were going against each other.”
The scrimmage begins at 10 a.m. on the SprinTurf practice fields on the east side of the Kibbie Dome. The Vandals also will scrimmage Aug. 17 in preparation for their Aug. 31 opener at North Texas.
