Idaho’s Rachel Millet and Paige Hunt have been named the Western Athletic Conference Women’s Swimmer and Diver of the Week, respectively, for October 14-20.

Millet, a junior from Spokane, Wash. (Ferris HS), won six individual events in two days for the Vandals.  On Friday night, Millet won the 200 free (1:52.00), 200 back (2:02.44) and 200 IM (2:05.23) in a dual meet victory against Northern Colorado.  She was also on the winning 400 medley relay (3:50.45).  On Saturday afternoon against Washington State, she won the same three events; 200 free (1:51.30), 200 back (2:01.29) and 200 IM (2:03.89).  All of her times on Saturday are currently the best in the WAC for those events.

Hunt, a senior from Mesa, Ariz. (Mesa CC), won the 3-meter against Northern Colorado with a score of 260.17 while placing second on the 1-meter (260.17).  Against Washington State, she scored 312.75 points to win the 3-meter and 257.02 to place second on the 1-meter board.  Both of her second place finishes on the 1-meter came against her teammate Mairin Jameson.

This is the second time this year that Millet has been WAC Swimmer of the Week and the first of the year for Hunt being the WAC Diver of the Week.
