The Idaho Swimming and Diving team won big today in Seattle where they raced against Seattle U and won by a score of 177-85. The Vandals raced well in all of the events and won all but three of them.

"Today was a nice win for us over a much improved Seattle team,” Coach Mark Sowa said. “Though it wasn't the prettiest racing we've done, I thought our athletes competed really well."

Junior swimmer Rachel Millet continues to be undefeated on the year after she won the 200 free (1:56.67), the 100 back (57.33) and the 500 free (5:04.28). Senior swimmer Megan Venlos also had a great day in the pool and won both of her events, the 50 free (24.29) and the 100 free (53.01).

"As we head toward the halfway point of the season I believe that we are starting to figure some things out which we need to carry over into training,” Coach Sowa said. “Still, we are making progress which is a good thing."

The Swim and Dive team will have a little break before heading down to Houston, Texas for the Houston Invitational on November 22-24. Their next dual meet will be a conference meet at New Mexico State on January 18, 2014.
