SKILLMAN, N.J. – After reeling off six consecutive victories, including a win over No. 66 Fresno State, the Idaho women’s tennis team has found itself in the ITA Top 75, checking in at No. 73.

“The women have had a very strong start to their year,” Idaho coach Jeff Beaman said. “I’ve been very impressed with their work-ethic and determination to win, and the results show it. It is great to see them break into the national rankings and hopefully that continues to boost their already high confidence going into a touch conference match against UMKC this weekend.”

The Vandals are 6-1 this season, with their only loss coming against No. 59 Washington State in the season-opener on Jan. 17.

The Vandals followed their 4-3 win over Fresno State with a 5-2 victory over previously unbeaten Utah State last week. Idaho returns to action this week with its first Western Athletic Conference match of the season when it takes on Kansas City on Feb. 22 at 2 p.m. in Lewiston, Idaho.
