STOCKTON, Calif. – The Idaho men’s tennis team fell 5-2 at Pacific in its first match in two and a half weeks on Monday.

The Vandals picked up the doubles point with wins at No. 1 from Cristobal Ramos Salazar and Jose Bendeck and No. 3 from Cesar Torres and Odon Barta. Torres also picked up Idaho’s lone singles win at No. 5.

“A tough match against a team that competed great after losing the doubles point,” Idaho coach Jeff Beaman said. “Cesar continues to step up his level and all three doubles positions had strong efforts.”

The Vandals fall to 5-9 on the season with the loss. Idaho visits Sacramento State on Tuesday.
