SEATTLE – The Idaho men’s tennis team grinded out a 4-3 at Seattle U on Friday night, improving to 7-9 on the season.

“This was a tough match against a Seattle team that competed hard across the board,” Idaho coach Jeff Beaman said.

The Vandals took the doubles point with wins at No. 1 from Andrew Zedde and Jose Bendeck and No. 3 from Odon Barta and Cesar Torres. Idaho eventually clinched the match with singles wins at No. 1 from Artemiy Nikitin, No. 3 from Barta and No. 4 from Torres.

Idaho will head to Portland for two more matches this weekend, facing Hawai`i on Mar. 30 and Portland on Mar. 31.
