2008-09: Earned first team All-WAC and all-newcomer honors... first Idaho first team selection since the 2000 season... honored as a member of the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Division I All-District teams... earned WAC Player of the Week honors for Feb. 16-22 with 17.5 points, 5.0 assists, 3.5 rebounds, and 2.5 steals in two wins... led the Vandals in scoring in 22 of 33 games... scored in double-figures in all but one game... ended the season ranked sixth on Idaho’s single-season records for points (540), second for assists (194), tied for sixth for steals (55), seventh for 3-point field goal percentage (.430), seventh for free throws made (128), and seventh for free throw attempts (189)... set a record for most single-season games played at Idaho with 33... ended the season with a 2.02 assist/turnover ratio... had five or more assists in 23 games... led the team with 136 defensive rebounds... tied for eighth all-time at Idaho with 10 assists at Fresno State... had four games with zero turnovers... earned his first career double-double with 13 points and 10 assists at Fresno State... scored 20 points with eight rebounds, five assists and three steals vs. Fresno State... scored 20 points with eight assists at San Jose State... scored 20 points, 17 in the second half, vs. San Jose State... finished with 20 points, eight assists, three steals, and zero turnovers in win over Boise State... scored 23 points with six rebounds, four assists and four steals vs. New Mexico State... scored 25 points and hit 4-of-5 3-pointers at Louisiana Tech... finished with 16 points and eight assists in a win at Nevada... had a near triple-double with 15 points, nine assists and eight rebounds at Sacramento State... scored 16 points with nine assists and just one turnover at South Carolina State... scored 16 points on 6-of-7 shooting and added seven rebounds and six assists in just 25 minutes vs. UC Irvine... scored 25 points and added five rebounds, five assists, and three steals at Eastern Washington... scored 17 second-half points to finish with 19 points and eight rebounds at Gonzaga... hit 7-of-7 free throws at Gonzaga... led Idaho with 13 points on 6-12 shooting and added five assists at Michigan State.

2007-08: Sat out as a redshirt due to NCAA transfer regulations.

AT WASHINGTON STATE (2006-07): Played in 21 games and averaged 4.2 points and 2.0 assists... shot 39-percent from the floor and 45-percent from the 3-point arc... started seven of WSU’s first eight games and averaged 7.8 points, 3.6 assists, and 2.9 rebounds in 24.8 minutes per game... shot 50-percent from the floor, 64-percent from the 3-point line, and 83-percent from the free throw line in those eight contests... made a decisive basket in the final minute of Washington State’s late-season win over Oregon State.

AT NORTH IDAHO COLLEGE (2005-06): Helped lead North Idaho College to a co-league championship as a freshman... was named first team all-Region 18... averaged a team-high 13.7 points, 3.8 assists, 4.4 rebounds, and 2.1 steals per game.

AT JEFFERSON HIGH SCHOOL: Was a standout at Jefferson High School at Portland, Ore., where he averaged 16.7 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per game as a senior... was rated Oregon’s third best point guard by Northwesthoops.com... was a member of the All-Oregon All-Star third team... was named first team all-conference, team MVP, and team captain during his junior and senior years... also selected to the All-Portland Interscholastic Team.

PERSONAL: Mac Hopson is the son of former Vandal great Phil Hopson... birth name is Phillip, Jr. ... elder Hopson helped lead the Vandals to a Sweet 16 appearance in 1982 and currently ranks in the top 10 on nine career records lists... mother’s name is Lauren Hopson... has one sister, Chanell... born Oct. 6 at Marcos Juarez, Argentina.
