Future Idaho volleyball player Jenna Ellis (Pocatello, Idaho/Century HS) recently led her club team, the Pocatello Elite, to a second-place national finish at the Girls' Junior National Championships in Columbus, Ohio.

Ellis, who stands at 5-foot-8 and will be a defensive specialist for the Vandals starting this fall, was second in the 18 National MVP voting, and earned a spot on the18 National all-tournament team.

The Pocatello Elite lost 2-1 (25-19, 19-25, 15-10) in the gold-medal match to Michigan Elite to claim the silver medal in the 48-team tournament.

Ellis is a two-time Idaho 4A State Player of the Year, and was the 2011 Idaho Gatorade Player of the Year.
