|WBB takes streak on the road|
The Idaho women's basketball team will take its three game win streak and four game road winning streak to Logan, Utah on Thursday for a 6 p.m. (PT) date with Utah State.
Idaho will have a chance to tie the Aggies for second place in the Western Athletic Conference with a win, as USU (10-10, 7-2 WAC) sits just one game ahead of the Vandals (9-11, 6-3 WAC) in the standings.
The Vandals have held each of their last three opponents to at 30.0 field goal percentage or lower, and 60 points or less, and have won those games by an average of 16.3 points per game. In that span, Idaho is shooting 44.0 percent from the field and holding opponents to 29.1 percent, and also owns a +9.7 rebounding margin.
The Aggies, however, are on a winning streak of their own, as they enter the game having won four straight and eight of their last 10 overall. Their 75.1 points per game are the most of any WAC team, but so are the 78.5 per game they allow.
Utah State was victorious in the first meeting between the two teams this season, overcoming a 16-point second-half deficit to win 91-86 in Moscow earlier this month. Idaho, however, holds a 12-11 advantage in the all-time series between the two programs.
Fans on the Palouse can catch the action on KMAX 840 AM or VandalXtra, with the pregame show beginning at 5:45. Live stats and a live video feed will also be available at www.UtahStateSports.com.
Idaho will wrap up its road trip at San Jose State on Feb. 1 before returning home to host New Mexico State on Feb. 7 and Denver on Feb. 9.
