Idaho's match against Montana State was a tight one. All three doubles matches were decided by two sets as Victoria Lozano and Almudena Sanz won 9-7 at No. 1 and Constance Alexander and Belen Barcenilla won 8-6 at No. 2 to give Idaho the point. Flores and Alejandra Lozano lost 9-7 at No. 3 doubles. The Vandals got wins at the top three singles spots to clinch the match victory. Lozano won 6-2, 6-1 at the top singles spot, Sanz won 6-0, 6-3 at No. 2 and Alexander won 6-4, 7-5 at No. 3.

In the second match of the weekend, Montana swept the doubles point to take a 1-0 lead. Idaho got book-end singles victories, as Victoria Lozano won a three-setter at No. 1 and Beaty Flores won another three-setter at No. 6. The Grizzlies, however, won the No. 2 through No. 5 singles matches to take the 5-2 win.

New Mexico swept the doubles point before a close singles battle. Sanz and Alexander both won 6-4, 7-5 to give Idaho the No. 2 and No. 3 singles points, and Flores won 6-3, 6-3 at No. 5 singles but The Lobos won at No. 1, 4 and 6 singles for the 4-3 win.

Idaho moves to 3-7 on the season. The Vandals return to action on March 6 when they host Eastern Washington at 3 p.m. Idaho will travel to New Orleans, La., to face Youngstown State on March 10 and Xavier of Louisiana on March 12.
