This Week in Vandal Track & Field
OSU High Point Performance Meet (May 2) Corvallis, Ore.
Payton Jordan Invitational (May 4) Stanford, Calif.

Looking Forward
The Vandals will travel to Corvallis, Ore., and Stanford, Calif., this weekend for two separate meets. On Friday, Idaho will compete at the OSU High Point Performance Meet. Events start at noon (PT) with the women’s portion of the javelin throw. Events on the track begin with the women’s section of the 4x100m relay at 4 p.m. On Sunday, the team will compete at the Payton Jordan Invitational. Field events begin at noon with the women’s pole vault; track events are slated to begin at 3:39 p.m. with the women’s 400m.

A Quick Recap
Last weekend at the Cougar Invitational, senior Karlene Hurrel and junior Ben Ayesu-Attah both earned double victories. Hurrel was first across the finish line in the 100m (12.23) and the 200m (24.65). Ayesu-Attah earned a double in the 400m (47.89) and in the 200m (21.50). Over the meet the Vandals earned 10 individual wins.  

Leading the WAC
Through six weeks of outdoor competition, eight Vandals lead the WAC in their respective events. Junior Ben Ayesu-Attah leads the 400m, while junior teammate Cody Helbling holds the number one spot in the 10,000m. Junior Matt Sullivan leads in the pole vault while, senior Andrey Levkiv holds the top spot in the shot put. For the women, Alycia Butterworth leads the 3,000m steeplechase and sophomore Katelyn Peterson leads the high jump. Also, freshman Adara Winder holds the top spot in the shot put while, sophomore Tayler Feinauer leads the javelin.
