MOSCOW, Idaho – Junior pole vaulter Matt Sullivan will represent the University of Idaho track and field team at the 2014 NCAA Division I Men’s and Women’s Outdoor Track and Field Championship taking place Wednesday through Saturday at Eugene, Ore.

Sullivan, a junior from Caldwell, Idaho (Caldwell HS) finished eighth in the field of 48 at the NCAA West Regional at Fayetteville Ark., with a height of 17-3 (5.26m). He is the second consecutive Vandal vaulter to make the NCAA meet, next to Jeremy Klas’s sixth-place finish in last year’s competition.

Sullivan set a career-best vault of 17-7.25 (5.37m) at the Western Athletic Conference championship meet earlier this year.

The men’s pole vault competition is set for Wednesday at 4 p.m. (PT).
